Private equity and venture capital firms operate within a strongly regulated playing field. Firstly, members naturally adhere to the law. Additionally, there is a series of professional standards that private equity/venture capital firms must meet. These include, among others, the code of conduct created by the Dutch sector itself and the 'Professional Standards Handbook' established by the European sector. Furthermore, the NVP has developed several practical standards and guidelines for its members, such as a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a completion instruction for the 'Key Information Document'.
These standards are regularly updated and are often a topic of discussion during courses, training sessions, and events or Annual General Meetings (AGMs).
