Research

The NVP performs research into the Dutch private equity and venture capital market twice a  year. The vast majority of the capital invested in Dutch companies by domestic and foreign private equity and venture capital firms is represented in this research.

This research answers questions such as:

  • How much money do private equity and venture capital firms raise to invest?
  • How much money is invested in the Netherlands?
  • How many companies are invested in?
  • How many individual investments are made by private equity and venture capital firms in a company?

Participation in NVP's market research is an obligatory part of the NVP membership code.

Return on investment and public interest.
NVP does not perform research into the performance of private equity and venture capital. Some sister associations of NVP do. Research into employment and the economic impact of private equity and venture capital firms can be found under "PE & VC at Work".

Other research
In addition to its own market research, NVP regularly supports research performed by associate members, academics or others.

The private equity and venture capital sector is constantly changing. This requires that young professionals and experienced experts are continuously trained and developed. The NVP Academy is therefore committed to further professionalising the sector. We organise various training courses, webinars, information days and workshops together with our (associate) members and third parties every year. In short: sharing knowledge at the highest level.
