The NVP represents all Dutch private equity and venture capital firms across politics, investors, academics and the general public. NVP members include small and large firms that focus on a range of financing phases and sectors. Venture capital investors are also affiliated with the NVP.
A broad support base allows us to effectively serve as the main spokesperson for private equity and venture capital parties in the Netherlands. Becoming a member means joining the conversation as a private equity or venture capital firm instead of just being talked about by others.
Who can become a member of the NVP?
De NVP heeft twee verschillende soorten lidmaatschappen:
Private equity or venture capital firms providing equity capital to unlisted companies in the Netherlands can become members of the NVP.
The NVP unites different types of private equity and venture capital firms. A number of members are part of a bank, insurance company or pension fund. They are often referred to as captives because they invest from their parent companies' balance sheet. Other private equity or venture capital firms are independent. They raise funds from institutional investors or wealthy individuals. There are also regional development agencies whose governments are the main shareholders.
NVP members are reliable and committed financiers. They've all gone through a balloting procedure. The NVP also has a binding code of conduct for its members.

When providing risk capital, there are often many more parties involved than just the private equity or venture capital firm and the entrepreneur. Who could also play a role?
Anyone who's involved in the investment market, professionally or commercially, can become an NVP associate member.
