The NVP has been the trade body for private equity and venture capital firms in the Netherlands since 1984. In 2020, we were able to proudly say that NVP represented no less than 90% of the industry’s total invested assets under management in the Netherlands. 

Primarily founded to represent the interests of our members to stakeholders, both in politics in The Hague and in Brussels, we actively lobby on laws and regulations and the associated regulatory framework. To the press and other stakeholders, we not only stress the importance of the sector, but also regularly speak on the subject. 

As an (associate) member you have access to NVP Academy courses. The courses are taught by industry professionals to give you, as a private equity or venture capital professional, the opportunity to (continue to) develop yourself further. Finally, we annually perform a market survey with other European trade associations and PwC that provides a realistic picture of investments, disinvestments and bankruptcies in the previous year. These figures are presented to the managing directors of our members annually.
