Webinar Expansion of the Dutch Act on the security screening (Wet Vifo)

On Wednesday 18 November 2026 at 16:00, the NVP presents a webinar, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs & Climate (EZK) and De Zaak van Advocaten, on the expansion of the Dutch Act on the security screening of investments, mergers and acquisitions (Vifo Act).

From 1 January 2027, six technologies are added to the Wet Vifo as “highly sensitive”. Minority VC rounds from 10% trigger a mandatory filing. The six technologies are biotechnology, AI, advanced materials, nanotechnology, sensor and navigation technology, and nuclear technology for medical use.

During the webinar, we will discuss what this expansion means for your investments. Additionally, we will provide practical tips for mandatory filings with the regulator (Bureau Toetsing Investeringen (BTI)), provide insights into the reporting procedure and address the most important questions.
