Content
During the training the lifecycle of a start-up will be followed from idea to exit, including all hiccups that could take place: from company formation to a convertible note round, Series A financing, Series B down round, pre-IPO round until exit via a trade sale or IPO. Per module there will be different details, variations and pitfalls addressed for each different stage of the investment. Each topic will be presented by a different experienced speaker in its field, while providing a lot of practical insights.

Learning goals:

• Insights in specific aspects of spin-offs from universities
• Gain thorough understanding of convertible loans & all important deal terms in a VC equity deal
• Insights in the dynamics in follow-up rounds, including downrounds and later stage funding
• Exit strategies of start-up or scale-up companies, differences between a trade sale and IPO
• Exchange of knowledge and experience between experienced VC professionals

Target audience: The course is meant for everyone looking for specialist knowledge in the field of venture capital. For example as a follow up for the NVP Essentials VC course. The course is only accessible for members or associated members of the NVP.
